[2002] EWHC 785 (Admin)

An applicant for housing and council tax benefit who failed to disclose a property, other than his home, that was registered in his name was guilty of an offence of knowingly making a false statement under s.112 Social Security Act 1992, regardless of his contention that he was merely a trustee of the property. The legal nature of his interest was irrelevant for the purposes of the offence.
