A sentence of three years' imprisonment for an offence of kidnapping was unduly lenient and was replaced by a sentence of four years' imprisonment. The starting point for such an offence was a sentence of five or six years' imprisonment and a four-year sentence still took account of an unexplained delay in the prosecution of the offender.
