A tachograph record sheet was capable of being a false instrument. An instrument would be false for the purpose of s.9(1)(g) Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981 if it was a document which required, before it could be made or altered, that there should exist or should have existed a certain set of circumstances and those circumstances did not exist.
