[2009] EWHC 1727 (QB)

The exceptional nature of the public interest in the criminal trial of suspected terrorists justified the imposition of an injunction, before the conclusion of that trial, against a publisher in respect of a book it proposed to sell, which contained details of the investigation and operation that led to the suspects' arrest. The disparity of risk which existed between what the publishers would suffer if the injunction was granted and what the public must risk if it was not, was beyond measurement, and in those circumstances, an injunction was a necessary and proportionate remedy.
