[2008] EWCA Crim 3062

Evidence which was the product of a letter of request issued under a bilateral treaty between the United Kingdom and Nigeria was inadmissible in a criminal trial where it had been transmitted to the UK without the consent of the Nigerian Attorney General, who was the "Central Authority" of Nigeria under the treaty.
