[2009] EWCA Crim 1695

A sentence of five-and-a-half years' imprisonment imposed on an offender for burglary and theft was reduced to three years' imprisonment as he was entitled to a substantial discount for assisting the police in an unrelated murder investigation and giving evidence at the trial, and his evidence had been helpful in securing a conviction.
