Where the Crown had relied on the similarity in the names, addresses and dates of birth of the accused and a person referred to in the Police National Computer as having been convicted of a similar offence to prove that the accused had previous convictions for similar offences, the judge had been fully entitled to admit that evidence and to rule that the risk of confusion with another person was minimal.
