In order to appeal against conviction on the grounds of irregularity in the selection of jurors, the appellant had to show that he had objected to the irregularity at the time, or as soon as was practicable, in accordance with the Juries Act 1974 s.18. He could not rely upon an objection made by the Crown, unless he had expressly adopted it.
