[2011] EWCA Crim 871
The court concluded that a conviction for manslaughter was unsafe in circumstances where the procedure adopted at an inquest, pre-trial, had given the Crown an opportunity to undermine the credibility of an honest and independent witness whose evidence cast doubt on its case.
