[2004] EWCA Crim 1257

The defendant's conviction for indecent assault was unsafe as the judge should have given a good character direction. The defendant had no previous convictions and that should have been pointed out to the jury especially as the judge had told the jury they could take into account the fact the defendant had given the victim alcohol and made lewd remarks to girls.
