New approach to management of electronic case files

The Complex Crime Unit launched a new electronic filing system on 1 April 2013 and you can manage your claims more efficiently by taking some simple steps:

1. The subject field of any email should clearly detail the:

• Case name
• Task number relating to the request and/or
• Accurate description of the task e.g. R v Brown, stage 5, tasks, 23, 34-37

2. Ensure you keep your task list updated following any ad hoc agreements

3. Detail the date when agreements were made (using the comments column)

By assisting us in this manner it will help to reduce the number of claims being returned to you and avoid unnecessary reductions on assessment.
