We’re still waiting for CLAR
to improve things for you…
It has been 2 years to the day since we were first courted by the MOJ with promises to improve criminal legal aid funding through the Criminal Legal Aid Review (CLAR). Some of you may have sent a Valentine’s message while thinking to yourselves I didn’t expect it to last this long. We at the LCCSA share that sentiment.
We understand an announcement is imminent in respect of interim proposals arising from CLAR. At this stage we cannot comment on it, but rest assured we will let you know what we are thinking as soon as we are able to. We will be urging all members to let their views be known. For now we can only tell you that it is coming; you would be forgiven if you had forgotten about it.
