Weird cases: Sentences a lesson in themselves
PUBLISHED June 12, 2015The principle “an eye for an eye . . .” made its historical debut in Hammurabi’s Code — a set of 282 laws engraved on a stone pillar in ancient Mesopotamia. The code, from about 1754 BC, and discovered in what today is Iran, is commonly accepted as the oldest legal digest in the world.
