The appellant's conviction for robbery, which involved an incident in which two 12-year-old boys were accosted by a group of older youths, was rendered unsafe by the judge's decision to admit identification evidence arising from an informal meeting arranged by the mother of one of the complainants and the mother of the appellant's co-accused.
