Summary of discussions and questions and answers available to download

Our Provider Reference Group events in February and March 2012 attracted positive feedback from delegates with 79% saying the event met their expectations.

More than 1,000 providers booked on to the 13 events held across England and Wales.

And a total of 83% of respondents said they now knew more about how the LSC's work would impact their organisation.

Locations included Cambridge, Nottingham, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, London Docklands, Bridgwater, Reading, London Central, Newcastle, and Brighton.

Key issues

Those attending received updates on a number of key issues including:

  • Legal aid reform
  • Tenders
  • Civil legal aid online
  • Case management (civil and crime)
  • Digital working in the criminal justice system

What we have published

Questions and answers were recorded. These are available on the LSC website's PRG page.

We have also produced a summary note about the events, which is available on the same web page (link below).  You can also download slides from the presentations that were given.

The slides have been updated to reflect the fact that the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders (LASPO) Bill became an Act of Parliament on 1 May 2012.
