Terror detainees turn to Europe

Terror suspects being held in the UK without trial are challenging the government by taking their case to the European Court of Human Rights.

The detainees at Belmarsh prison and Broadmoor high security hospital are held on the premise that terrorism threatens the life of the nation.
The men's lawyer has submitted papers for the case to Strasbourg and will argue that this is "unfounded".
