An inquiry into how a prisoner was murdered by his racist cellmate is opening after a four-year legal battle.

Zahid Mubarek, 19, was killed in February 2000, the night before his scheduled release from Feltham Young Offenders' Institution, in London.
The Law Lords last year overruled the home secretary and ordered a public inquiry into the murder by Robert Stewart, now 24 and serving life.
