[2012] EWHC 1647 (Admin)

An offence had not been committed under the Child Abduction Act 1984 s.1 where a parent of a child under the age of sixteen had been given the appropriate consent to remove the child from the United Kingdom for a defined period, but had kept the child out of the UK after that period had expired. The section did not apply on the failure to return him thereafter.
