Lorry driven wrong way down M6 motorway

PUBLISHED August 10, 2012

This is the moment three lorry drivers used their HGV's to form a rolling road block to barricade a drunk Hungarian who drove his truck ten miles down the M6.

Pal Korbely, 50, caused chaos on one of Britain's busiest stretches of motorway when he hurtled south on the northbound carriageway.

Dozens of terrified drivers, including one driving a petrol tanker, were forced to swerve to avoid the 60ft-long vehicle as it sped towards oncoming traffic at 10.30pm on Saturday, July 8.

The married dad-of-two only came to a halt when three other lorry drivers - travelling up the northbound carriageway - used their HGVs as a rolling road-block.

Their brave actions were captured by motorway CCTV cameras.
