A solicitor jailed earlier this year for defrauding City firm Hogan Lovells of £1.3m has been ordered to be struck off the roll.

Christopher Grierson (pictured), a former partner at Hogan Lovells, did not attend the hearing at the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal yesterday. He agreed to pay costs of £14,000.

Grierson was jailed for three years at Southwark Crown Court in May this year after admitting four counts of fraud.
