A finding of dangerousness and a sentence of imprisonment for public protection imposed following guilty pleas to offences of robbery, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possession of a firearm with intent to commit robbery, and arson could not stand where it was subsequently discovered that the offender had been suffering from an undiagnosed brain tumour affecting his behaviour. Concurrent sentences totalling 11 years' imprisonment were imposed.
