Alexander Shaw Solicitors is a West London-based firm with a thriving and expanding criminal department dealing with all areas of the criminal law, both legally aided and privately funded.

We are looking to recruit a duty solicitor on a consultancy basis. No level of experience is a pre-requisite but they must be duty qualified and fully compliant.
Full supervision and support will be provided as necessary and we hope to retain the right candidate and help them grow with us. The right candidate will want to build their own caseload and profile with us and we will promote their ambition as much as we can.
The Role
This candidate’s role will be:
- Representing duty and own clients at the police station and in the magistrates’ court, both within and outside business hours as necessary;
- to have conduct of police station, Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court files as necessary.
Remote working will be accommodated, according to the needs of the candidate.
Experience
The candidate will need experience of dealing with a wide range of general criminal cases but the role will be tailored to the level of experience of the candidate as required.
Education
- Duty Solicitor qualified and compliant
- Holder of a clean Practicing Certificate from the SRA
Duty qualification is essential so please do not apply if you are not duty qualified.
