Ed Cape is a professor at UWE Bristol and was in practice as a criminal defence lawyer before and after PACE came into force. He has since written about and conducted research on the impact of PACE on the early stages of the criminal process and the implications for defence lawyers.
Matthew Hardcastle is a Partner at Kingsley Napley LLP. Matthew’s specialty is in pre-charge investigations and litigation. He has extensive, current experience of acting for clients at the police station which, of course, requires a detailed, practical knowledge of PACE and the Codes of Practice.
Sandra Paul is a Partner at Kingsley Napley LLP. She provides proactive police station advice and representation designed to resolve matters at the earliest opportunity.
