In view of increasing competition for judicial appointments, this interactive course will equip you with the skills to help enhance your application and interview performance. This workshop has been developed specifically for solicitor applicants but the content is relevant to anyone serious about submitting a credible judicial application.
The training will focus on tailoring your submission to make a positive impact, the competency based application and selection process. You will receive practical advice on completing the application form, incorporating your experiences and provide you with invaluable interview practice and feedback.
This course usually costs £395 but the LCCSA are offering LCCSA members a free place on the course. (Any contribution towards the event, will be greatly received.)
Who should attend?
The course has been designed for solicitors with a minimum of five years PQE who are considering applying for a judicial appointment. If you have sufficient experience to demonstrate that you can meet the JAC’s requirements, then this training event will prove invaluable to your career progression. Exposure to the training will also prepare you for any competency based selection process.
The course will be led by Manjula Bray; former JAC Panel Member and Careers Coach.
Manjula is an experienced trainer having worked with the law society on preparing candidates for judicial appointment. The practical program will include exploration of the application process and the competency based framework utilised by the JAC. The particular session has been time tabled with the forthcoming DDJ (MC) selection exercise in mind.
The event will also be supported by solicitor judges, many of whom are honorary members of the LCCSA.
