[2004] EWCA Crim 1944

A judge had jurisdiction to conduct confiscation proceedings when an offender had been convicted of a conspiracy to commit a number of different offences under the Criminal Law Act 1977 s.1, even if only one or none of the offences had been committed, as it was the agreement which constituted the offence which in turn satisfied the precondition for confiscation proceedings under the Drug Trafficking Act 1994 s.2.
