The MOJ has just published a further consultation paper, setting out proposals to bring the published rates paid to advocates for defence work more in line with the rates paid by the Crown Prosecution Service. MOJ aims to save £50m from advocates fees in order to contribute towards overall efficiency savings. The consultation closes on 24 February 2010
