CDS Funding Order amendment and pages of prosecution evidence - May-24-12
Source: LSC - Criminal Defence Service News

24 May 2012

Guidance on the changes now available

The CDS (Funding) Order 2007 was amended in April 2012.

This was in order to ensure that the definition of Pages of Prosecution Evidence (PPE) would capture evidence served digitally by the prosecution that was previously served on paper.

This supports the drive towards greater digital working across the criminal justice system.

The LSC publicised the changes before they came into force on 1 April 2012, and agreed to produce guidance to support these changes.

The MoJ and LSC have, in consultation with the Law Society and Bar Council, produced guidance which can be found on the LGFS and AGFS pages of the website.

We will continue to work with the representative bodies to review the guidance and update as necessary.
