The Ministry of Justice has announced plans to introduce Price Competitive Tendering for Criminal Defence Services. A meeting to consider the consultation document, due in April 2013, and open to Solicitors and Barristers, will be held at Friends Meeting House, Euston on 22nd May at 2:00pm, registratopn from 1:30pm. The meeting will be addressed by representatives of the CLSA,LCCSA, LAPG, SAHCA, The Law Society and the Criminal Bar Association. The meeting is accredited for 3 CPD points with the SRA. Protest against MOJ's plans to introduce price competitive tendering for criminal legal aid work.  Protect your clients' rights to have a solicitor of their choice.  Stop these plans for justice on the cheap which will have devastating consequences.  Make your voice heard!
